Ez-Col Syrup
Dosage: Children 6-12 years: 5 ml (1-1½ teaspoonful) once daily.
Maximum dose: 1½ teaspoonful twice a day.
Adults: 10-15 ml (2-3 teaspoonful) once daily.
Maximum dose: 15 ml (3 teaspoonful) twice a day or as advised by the doctor.
Ez-Col Tablets
Dosage: Children 6-12 years: One tablet once or twice a day.
Adults: Two tablets once or twice a day or as advised by the doctor.
Storage: Do not store above 30C. Keep in a dry place and protect from light. Close the cap tightly after use. Keep out of each of children.

Do not use laxative products in case of abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting unless advised by a doctor. Do not use this product for more than a week. Please ensure a gap of at least two hours between consuming EzCol and any other medication.
Senna leaf extract contains compounds called anthraquinones, like sennosides, which stimulate the intestines. These compounds can help promote bowel movements and alleviate constipation. It is an FDA-approved treatment for short-term constipation.
In certain situations, such as preparing for a medical procedure or diagnostic test, healthcare professionals may recommend senna leaf extract to help cleanse the bowels. This process involves removing waste and stool from the digestive system to improve visualization during the procedure.
The anthraquinones have a stimulant effect on the intestines. The compounds interact with the nerve cells in the intestinal lining, promoting muscle contractions and increasing the movement of faecal matter through the colon. This stimulation can help overcome sluggish or slowed bowel movements, improving gut motility.
EZ-Col contains Senna, a stimulant laxative which stimulates the muscles of gut, which aid in moving contents of gut. Senna also increases the amount of water in the colon, which softens and facilitates the passage of stools. The combination of enhanced peristalsis and increased water content in the colon helps to relieve constipation.
Take Ez-Col once a day at bedtime. It may be consumed with or without food. It may take about 8 hours to work hence it is taken at bedtime, so it works overnight. Hydrate well.

history of allergic reaction to senna, there is any indication of having dehydration, e.g. less urine, change of urine colour or smell, stomach pain, nausea or vomiting, Intestinal obstruction, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, appendicitis, heart or kidney problems, pregnant or breastfeeding or trying to conceive.
Common side effects may include stomach cramps and diarrhoea. Discontinue taking EZ-Col and talk to your doctor. Women who are using contraceptive pills and have severe diarrhoea, for 24 hours or more, may not be protected from pregnancy.
Skin rash: itchy, red, swollen, blistered, or peeling of skin, wheezing, chest or throat tightness, difficult in breathing or talking, swelling of lips, face, mouth, tongue, electrolyte imbalance which may cause muscle spasms or seizures,
Consultation with doctor is suggested for longer usage of EZ-Col.
The missed dose should be skipped, and the next dose should be taken on time. Taking two doses at one time is not suggested. Extra dose should be taken for forgotten dose.
Extra dose is not likely to cause harm, however, there may be stomach pain and diarrhoea which should settle in a day or two. It is always good to reach out to your doctor.
Urine may turn a red-brown colour while consuming EZ-Col. Discolouration normalizes once EZ-Col is stopped.
Constipation can occur after surgery and using a laxative could help.
Ez-Col is safe to use for kids and adults in the prescribed quantity. However, during pregnancy, seek your physician’s advice.
Generally, EZ-Col should not affect contraception. However, if there is persistent diarrhoea for over 24 hours, contraception may fail.
There is no such restriction. However generally food that cause constipation may be avoided. Consuming more fibre including fruit, vegetables, could help ease constipation.
